His journey in PEU leadership began as the inaugural Motions and Labour Chairperson and continued through various senior roles, including KZN Provincial Chair and East Rand District Chairperson. In 2019, he was elected Vice President and currently serves as President of PEU.

Mkhuseli also holds certifications in Practical Labour Law, Geographical Information Systems and Trade Union Leadership. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to education and unionism.

Dr Boase serves as the head of the PEU’s Steering Committee, overseeing all standing committees within the union. He plays a pivotal role in conceptualising and implementing strategic development initiatives. He represents PEU on both national and international platforms, engaging in high-level educational dialogue. He is also known for mentoring and coaching teachers.

A seasoned educator who began his leadership journey as a deputy principal in 1998 and became a principal in 2002, serving in 4 high schools across Gauteng. He has held key leadership roles within PEU, including Provincial Secretary, Deputy General Secretary and as of 1 October 2024, the General Secretary. His tenure reflects a strong commitment to advocating for educators.

An experienced administrative professional currently serving as Deputy General Secretary of PEU. He has been employed by the Free State Department of Education as an Administrative since April 2010. With a solid academic background in Business Administration Services, Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Trade Union Practice.

Ms. Khobo has been a dedicated member of PEU since 2007. Her commitment & leadership earned her further roles at district level as both Deputy Secretary & Secretary of the Zoutpansberg Education District (ZED). She later served two terms as Treasurer of the Limpopo Province, gaining extensive experience in union financial governance. In 2022, she was elected General Treasurer.

Isaac Nkavuyo Ubisi has been a committed member of PEU since 1994, the same year he began his journey as an educator. Over the years, he has served in various leadership roles across multiple structures of the Union, demonstrating unwavering dedication to its mission. He currently serves as the National Finance Chairperson of PEU, overseeing financial strategies and accountability.

Mr Mohlatlole began his professional journey as an educator and rose through the ranks to become a departmental head and later a principal. He served as ML Chairperson at district level from 2008 to 2016, before being elected to the same position at provincial level from 2017 to 2019. His consistent dedication to educational leadership led to his appointment as the National ML Chairperson.

A dedicated Departmental Head, She has 33 years teaching experience and 27 years of union experience. She has served as a chairperson of the district, editor of the province and the secretary of the Mpumalanga province. She currently serves as the National Gender Chairperson of PEU. She advocates for gender equity, justice & the creation of safe, inclusive working environments.

Vukeya Arthur serves as the SAC Chairperson of the Professional Educators’ Union (PEU). He is currently stationed at Vukosi Primary School, where he holds the position of Departmental Head. With a strong background in education leadership and union representation, Mr. Vukeya is committed to advancing the interests of educators and contributing to the development of quality teaching environments.

Mr. Ngobeni hails from Tshivhuyuni village in the Zoutpansberg District, Limpopo. He has been a dedicated member of PEU since 1995, when it was still known as TUATA. Serving as the National Editor since 2016, he also contributes to the ANTUSA Publicity Technical Committee. A passionate participant in union sports, Mr. Ngobeni has long represented PEU as a goalkeeper in the ANTUSA Games.

Nokuzola joined the PEU at a very young age in 2007, demonstrating early on her passion for community involvement and leadership, first being elected as the Provincial Deputy Secretary, then serving as the Provincial Editor and later as the Provincial Gender Chairperson. She was groomed by the PEU & in 2024, she was elected as the Provincial Chairperson of the Eastern Cape.

Mr Nozulela serves as the Provincial Chairperson of the Professional Educators' Union and works at the Gauteng Department of Education Head Office within the Assessment Management Directorate. His work at the Department of Education complements his union responsibilities, enabling him to influence educational assessment policies and ensure alignment with educators’ needs.

A qualified educator with a strong academic foundation, holding a Teaching Degree and a BEd Honours in Educational Law and Management. Her journey with PEU began at grassroots level as a site steward. Through her dedication, she steadily advanced to serve as Provincial Vice Chairperson and later as National Chairperson of the Youth Brigade. Now serving as Provincial Chairperson.

A seasoned education professional with extensive leadership experience. He holds a BA and Higher Education Diploma (HED) from the University of the North, along with a BEd Honours from the University of Pretoria. He also has qualifications in project management, education leadership and labour law from institutions including UKZN, North West University and Nelson Mandela University.

Joined the Professional Educators’ Union in 2002 and has since grown through the ranks, He began his union journey as a branch chairperson in Stilfontein and went on to serve as Vice Chairperson in the South West District. His consistent contribution led to his election as the Deputy Chairperson of the PEU North West province. Currently, he serves as the Provincial Chairperson of PEU in North West.

Holds a Secondary Teachers Diploma and an ACE in Mathematics from Setotolwane College of Education and UNISA. He joined PEU in 1999 and has served in various union leadership capacities at branch and district levels, including Finance Chairperson, Motion and Labour Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Chairperson. He is a committed education leader and passionate educator.

He was elected as Provincial Secretary in 2017 and later as Provincial Chairperson in 2020, a role in which he continues to serve with distinction. As Chairperson, he provides strategic leadership and guidance to the province, ensuring that the union's goals are effectively communicated and implemented.

A committed PEU representative based in Phuthaditjhaba, Free State. He serves in the education sector as an Administration Clerk at Witsieshoek Primary School, where he actively advocates for the rights and welfare of workers. He participates in negotiations at the Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) and its subcommittees, working closely with the provincial education department.
