
PEU CONGRATULATES THE MATRIC CLASS OF 2025
The Professional Educators’ Union (PEU) welcomes the announcement of the National Senior Certificate (NSC) results for the Matric Class of 2025 by the Minister of Basic Education, Honourable Siviwe Gwarube, and extends its heartfelt congratulations to all candidates who sat for the examinations on their commendable performance.
The Union commends all candidates who sat for these examinations for their resilience and dedication, educators for delivering quality public education, and acknowledges the vital support of parents, school management teams, communities for creating a peaceful environment during these examinations. the Officials of the Department of Education at all levels for ensuring a credible examinations and Teacher Unions for their oversight efforts.
PEU encourages learners to explore diverse post-school pathways, including higher education, vocational training, and second-chance rewrite programmes and matric equivalent qualifications. In preparing educators and learners for the evolving world of work, the PEU encourages the pursuit of qualifications in Artificial Intelligence (AI), recognising it as an important literacy for the future. When properly understood and responsibly applied, AI has the potential to reduce routine manual tasks and enable higher-order thinking, innovation, and the creation of solutions to global challenges.
PEU wishes all candidates who sat for these examinations continued success as they transition to further studies, develop their skills, and participate in the opportunities within the World of work and ultimately participating in the economy of our country.
